Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains what Tevekkul Vakti (“the app”, “we”) does with information about you. The short version: there is no account, no ads and no tracking across other apps. We use anonymous analytics and crash reports, and your location is used to calculate prayer times.
What stays on your device
The app keeps these on your iPhone (the analytics section below says what we do see):
- Your language, skin and notification choices, and which moments may notify you.
- The feeling you pick, the ayat you save, and your missed-prayer counts and logs.
- What the widgets show. Widgets read it from a shared container on the same device (an App Group).
- Recitations you have played, cached so they replay offline.
Notifications are scheduled on the phone. The ayah in each one is already stored in the app, so no server sends them and nothing about you is needed to deliver them.
iCloud
If you use iCloud, some of your progress (such as saved ayat and missed-prayer logs) syncs between your own devices through Apple’s iCloud key-value storage. It is stored in your private iCloud account. We cannot read it.
Location and prayer times
If you allow location access, the app uses it to calculate your prayer times and the Qibla direction. To get the prayer times, it sends your approximate coordinates, rounded to two decimal places (about a kilometre), to a prayer-times service: the Aladhan API (api.aladhan.com), or a backup service if that one fails. The request contains the coordinates and the date, and nothing that identifies you. Like any web request, it reveals your IP address to that service. Without a connection, the app calculates the times on the phone instead. The Qibla direction is always calculated on the phone. We do not store a history of your location. You can refuse location access; the app then uses approximate times.
Recitation audio
When you play a recitation for the first time, the app downloads the audio files for that ayah from EveryAyah.com. The request names only the reciter and the verse.
Analytics and crash reports
We use Firebase, a Google service, to keep the app working and to understand which features are used:
- Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report when the app crashes: the device model, iOS version and what the app was doing.
- Firebase Analytics records anonymous usage events, such as which screen was opened or that an ayah was saved. An event can carry a detail of what happened, for example which moment or feeling was chosen, or the size of a missed-prayer estimate. Events are tied to a random app-instance identifier, never to your name, email or Apple ID.
We do not use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not combine it with data from other apps or websites to track you.
Purchases (RevenueCat)
Premium is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or Apple ID details. We use RevenueCat to process and verify purchases, so that Premium unlocks and can be restored on your other devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and your App Store transaction receipts. No name, email or address is sent to it by us.
This website and cookies
This website (tevekkul.titanix.dev) sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and loads its fonts from its own server. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. The only thing the site stores in your browser is the moment you last picked in the sky switcher, in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It has no account, chat or sharing with other users.
Your choices
- Turn off location access in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
- Turn off notifications per moment in the app, or entirely in Settings › Notifications.
- Delete the app to remove everything it stored on the device. iCloud data can be removed in Settings › [your name] › iCloud.
- Write to contact@titanix.dev to ask about, or ask us to delete, any analytics or crash data linked to your app instance.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
